My personal blog for Virtua Fighter

A lot of the old assets are not working anymore in this blog. What I had intended for this blog to be, a very well-organized notebook for the latest version of Virtua Fighter will now be transferred over to a private discord. I might use this blog instead for a variety of VF articles.

[Updates] Flash Multimedia and Emoticon in Blogger

/hi February 3rd, 2013 - Hello, this is a test post on making and embedding flash multimedia and incorporating command emoticons into the blog.  The cat emoticons were from the original emoticon javascript code I used as the template for the emoticons in this blog.  The cats are amusing, so I kept them in the code.  Update: The "cats" are actually Abo the onion head.

The code used for the command emoticons are below (there should be no space between the brackets).  There are two smaller versions of each command input by add 1 or 2 "s" after the letter.  I think the smaller versions are too small, but the original size alters the line height.

[g][p][k]     [ G ] [ P ] [ K ]  large-size emoticon

[ub][u][uf]     [ UB ] [ U ] [ UF ]
[b][t][f]     [ B ] [ T ] [ F ]
[db][d][df]     [ DB ] [ D ] [ DF ]

[ub_][u_][uf_]     [ UB_ ] [ U_ ] [ UF_ ]
[b_][n][f_]     [ B_ ] [ n ] [ F_ ]
[db_][d_][df_]     [ DB_ ] [ D_ ] [ DF_ ]

[gg][pg][kg]     [ G ] [ P ] [ K ]

[s] space [ s ]

[ubg][ug][ufg] large-size emoticon gray
[bg][tg][fg]
[dbg][dg][dfg]

[ubg_][ug_][ufg_]
[bg_][ng][fg_]
[dbg_][dg_][dfg_]

[Gs][Ps][Ks] mid-size emoticon

[ubs][us][ufs]
[bs][ts][fs]
[dbs][ds][dfs]

[ubs_][us_][ufs_]
[bs_][n][fs_]
[dbs_][ds_][dfs_]

[gss][kss][pss] small-size emoticon

[ubss][uss][ufss]
[bss][tss][fss]
[dbss][dss][dfss]

[ubss_][uss_][ufss_]
[bss_][nss][fss_]
[dbss_][dss_][dfss_]

The SWF file above was made using Adobe Indesign.  Images were taken directly from the console game and modified with Adobe Photoshop.  Just to note that there is zero actual content in the Flash file.  Like this blog, it is a template for things to come.

The cat emoticons were taken/adapted from Cool Stuff: Tips and Tricks.  The javascript code is based off the one used in Cool Stuff: Tips and Tricks.  I found the guidelines on how to adjust the original javascript code from Boredir Blog.  The command emoticons were personally made through use of Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop.  The ability to use command emoticons in blogger and making SWF files should be helpful in the long run.

I am now currently working on adding all the preliminary images to Jeffry's sections.  8 characters left to complete the early build.  Thanks for checking on the progress of the Moves Project.  Until next time, bye!
/bye
